The site is located on the corner of rue Belliard and rue de l'Industrie in a business quarter in central Brussels. The project consists of the construction of a 110-room hotel on eight floors on the rue de l'Industrie side and the renovation of three of the last remaining 1850s Hôtels de Maîtres on the rue Belliard side, which will be conserved and converted into apartments. Their façades are heritage-listed. The junction between the old houses and the new hotel is structured around an inner courtyard with trees. The contemporary treatment of the hotel with its horizontal lines and overhangs expresses the contrast with the neoclassical style of the houses, asserting its modernity while creating a challenging yet harmonious dialogue between the old and the new.
