The demand to the architects on this beautiful listed site of the Bovenberg in Woluwé-Saint-Pierre was to replace the former mansion of the Blaton family by a new prestige ‘Villa building’ offering 11 apartments. Set at the top of a verdant location with 100-year-old trees and a large pond, just a short distance from other parks and the Tram Museum, it enjoys exceptional accessibility. The 'fan'-shaped design gives the project outstanding views over the beauty of the site, offering each apartment multiple orientations and privacy. The architecture is contemporary, drawing inspiration from the 20th-century 'manor-house' typology, offering a wide range of façades with large bow-windows, various-sized openings framing the views from the inside, and suspended or integrated wooden terraces.  An obvious choice was done for noble and sustainable materials such as Bleu de Lignières stone, cedar wood, and metal. The curved zinc roofs generate unusual interior spaces and volumes.

This subdivision project is located close to Calevoet railway station and the Lycée Français, on the site of the Engeland plateau. It includes 298 homes, comprising 236 apartments and 62 houses, to be built over nine years. All of this will cover 9 hectares, of which 6 hectares will be kept as a protected green area.
