The auditorium and the listed areas (the grand staircase and grand foyer) underwent scrupulous renovation. The capacity after the works is 1,020 seats. The technical amenities of the stage were entirely replaced, from the basement floors to the roof. New elevators were installed for people with disabilities and serve all floors. The elevators appear on the lateral façades when in movement. A2RC ARCHITECTS has worked on a sculptural project with famous artist Franz West, but his unfortunate, sudden death put an end to what would have been a fantastic opportunity to introduce strong contemporary art on this cultural monument.
