The Crossing Stadium in Josaphat Park was renovated to modern standards, featuring new stands, improved facilities, and enhanced connections between the stadium and the surrounding community.
The Crossing Stadium, located in Josaphat Park, Schaerbeek, was extensively renovated due to its disrepair and outdated facilities. The plan, led by architectural firm A2RC, involved demolishing three of the four stands, retaining and refurbishing the South Stand, and upgrading the pitch and surrounding park. The new design includes two 1,500-seat stands, football infrastructure, a multi-sports hall in the South Stand, offices, and panoramic cafeterias. A central hub connects the stands, while a new glass structure creates a visual link between the stadium and the neighborhood. The old grass pitch was replaced with synthetic turf, and the North Stand area became a green space. The project aims to meet the needs of athletes and local residents, allowing independent or simultaneous use of the facilities.
