HOUSING
For us, designing housing means questioning the very conditions of contemporary living. Beyond the mere organization of floor space, it involves creating environments capable of accommodating diverse lifestyles, supporting the rhythms of daily life, and establishing a sensitive relationship between the individual, the collective, and the surrounding territory. We view residential buildings as architectures of everyday life, where subtle balances are struck between privacy and sharing, protection and openness, permanence and transformation. Each project is approached as a careful reading of the context, aimed at understanding the site’s qualities—its orientations, landscapes, and urban dynamics—to place the building in coherent continuity with its environment. Habitability is the foundation of our approach. It goes beyond interior layout and is expressed through the quality of volumes, the fluidity of circulation, the relationship between rooms, and the generosity of living spaces. We aim to design housing that provides well-calibrated atmospheres, where natural light, acoustics, and privacy fully contribute to residents’ comfort and well-being. Building orientation becomes a true design tool. Working with the path of the sun, capturing daylight, optimizing passive solar gain, and creating evolving luminous atmospheres allows the creation of living spaces that remain in constant dialogue with time and seasons. Light is not only an energy resource; it is an essential material of the architectural project. The relationship to the landscape and the quality of views also play a decisive role. We design buildings as frameworks that can both frame and reveal their surroundings, whether an urban landscape, a garden, or a more distant horizon.
