The project at the Bovenberg site in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre involved the redevelopment of the former Blaton family mansion, replaced by a prestigious "Villa Building" featuring 11 luxury apartments. Set at the top of a lush hill, surrounded by century-old trees and a large pond, the location offers exceptional accessibility, with nearby parks and the Tram Museum just a short walk away.
The building’s fan-shaped design offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, ensuring that each apartment benefits from multiple orientations and ample privacy. The architecture harmoniously blends contemporary style with elements inspired by 20th-century manor houses, featuring varied façades, large bow windows, and numerous openings that frame views of nature. Suspended or integrated wooden terraces enhance the connection to the outdoors. Sustainable, high-quality materials, such as Bleu de Lignières stone, cedar wood, and metal, have been carefully selected.
The project highlights materials and design choices that respect both the environment and the aesthetic of the site. The slightly curved zinc roofs add a unique dimension to the interior spaces, creating striking volumes.
