The Vishay Neighbourhood project is situated on a 2.97-hectare site in Evere, located just 50 meters from the junction of Chaussée de Louvain and Avenue des Communautés. It is located in a region marked by high diversity on the Regional Land Use Plan. The aim of the project is to promote this diversity while prioritizing residential development, ultimately creating a new, vibrant neighborhood. This initiative proposes the construction of apartment blocks, shops, an old people’s home, SME buildings, and a nursery, all centered around a new urban layout with a central square and a newly created street.

The project will feature green spaces, including an artificial pond and infiltration basin, designed for stormwater retention. These features, in combination with green roofs and additional basins, will serve to alleviate the burden on the public sewer system. The neighborhood will be easily accessible via Avenue Cicéron, leading visitors through a sequence of buildings. These structures will vary in height, blending with existing buildings in the area, culminating in the flagship building that will stand at 15 storeys tall, marking the entrance to the site. The central square, surrounded by medium-rise apartment buildings, will be pedestrian-friendly and benefit from optimal sunlight exposure.

Designed with a modern aesthetic, the project emphasizes harmonious public spaces and thoughtful materials, ensuring a high quality of life and visual coherence. The design respects the surrounding architectural context and aims to create a balanced integration with its environment. The arrangement of the buildings, with their individualized facades, and the careful planning of public spaces will enhance the overall livability and attractiveness of the new district.
