The office fit-out for A2RC ARCHITECTS involved transforming two existing buildings into modern spaces, combining exposed structure with open-plan and enclosed areas, while integrating energy-efficient systems and maximizing natural light.
The office fit-out for A2RC ARCHITECTS was part of a comprehensive project that transformed two existing buildings and a former printworks, arranged around a central courtyard. The offices occupy the first three floors of the building at 16 Rue Saint-Laurent, while the upper floors were converted into lofts. Located near the city center, the site offers a wealth of amenities, especially in terms of public transport. The chosen space and office design provide numerous development opportunities. The building's structure remains exposed, with unfinished surface treatments, while the design skillfully combines open-plan areas, such as workshops and reception, with enclosed spaces like private offices and meeting rooms.

Though construction began before the implementation of Building Energy Performance regulations, the design had already accounted for many of the technical requirements that are now mandatory. The spaces are equipped with a double-flow ventilation system with heat recovery, allowing for the installation of full-height windows without overheating. The façade windows were designed to maximize natural light, and energy savings were further enhanced with a dimmer and presence detection system. Additionally, the heating system was optimized to adjust according to the space's exposure and the number of staff working there.
